Peter Hickman has parted company with Hawk Colchester Kawasaki in the British Superbike Championship in a move that sees the return of James Haydoಞn to the BSB fold.

Series sophomore Hickman - who first rode for Hawk back in 2003 - has endureꦗd a disappointing start to the 2007 campaign, with three twelfth-place finishes his best results on the ZX10-R while team-mate Scott Smart lies some five spots and 37 points higher in the titl📖e standings. In light of this, a "mutual and amicable decision" has been taken for team and rider to go their separate ways.

"Peter has had a long relationship with Hawk Kawasaki," commented team owner Stuart Hi💯cken, "and we wish him the very best in the future."

Alex Camier - younger brother of Bike Animal Hond🧔a star Leon - will replace Hickman in the short term at Croft this weekend after riding Hawk's Supersport bike at the two previous meetings. David Hallett will take over Camier's seat after stepping up from the Superstock Cup.

Following a successful test at Mallory Park last week, meanwhile, Haydon will make his Hawk Kawasaki BSB de🐽but at Cadwell Park a fortnight later. The eleven-time BSB race-winner himself split from Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha earlier this year, and will remain alongside Smart at Hawk for the remainder of the current campaign.
