Audi's Jamie Green reduced Pascal Wehrlein's winning margin to 19-points after taking his fourth victory of t🍨he year at the Hockenheim DTM finale but the Brit vows to come back 'even s🍒tronger' in 2016.

The Team💛 Rosberg driver began the season as the man to beat thanks to a brace of wins at the Hockenheim season opener and Lausitzring giving Green a clear lead at the top of leaderboard.

However, Green's g𓄧rip on the points lead, ironically, began to loosen at the Norisring, a circuit which has tended to be a fortress of his over the years.

A further catalogue of ill-fortune during the bulk of the year left the 33-year old on the fringes of the top-🔯five but 43-points scored in the final two races revitalised Green's charge ꧙to end the season in P2.

Green couldn't help but notice his technical difficulties always seemed t🐼o creep in whilst in a promisi💦ng position. A cruel retirement when leading the race at the Red Bull Ring typified his year.

"It's almost funny in a way if it weren't so hard. The technical difficulties on my car only came when I wa🍸s in contention at the front of the f𝕴ield," said Green.

"My ⛄transmission didn't fail while I was slippin🐎g around somewhere at the rear of the field in the rain but when I was leading on a dry track.

"When I started from๊ position 17 in the second race at Hockenheim in May, my parking brake worked - but it💞 didn't when I was in position three of the grid at the N?rburgring."

Regardless of his mid-season woes, 2015 was still Green's best year in the championship and the f🧸ormer Mercedes driver admits he has an eye on going one better next season.

"It wasn't just a single factor. Audi, the car, Team Rosberg - all these elements made for a near😼-perfect package this year. Singling out a particular itꩵem wouldn't do justice to the situation. So, it wasn't some kind of magic, but good people and hard work," Green continued.

"Obvio꧅usly, I'm going to get a bit of rest but then I'll set up my training schedule and start riding my bicycle in the mountains. Next year, I'd like to come back even strong🦩er."
