Fernando Alonso is best of the rest in fifth, ahead of the 🍌Williams pair of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon.

George Russell pops his Mercedes into th🐭ird right at the end, leaving Lando Norris only fourth on the grid in his McLaren.
Max Verst🐭appen has pulled a special lap out of the bag to take provisional pole!
The Red Bull driver pips both McLarens, edging ꧑out Oscar Piastri by just 0.049s with La🌃ndo Norris third.
George ꦛRussell slots his Mercedes into P4 with Isack Hadjar an impressive fifth for Ra🍒cing Bulls.
Next come the Aston Martins of L💯ance Stroll and Fernando Alonso ꦦin sixth and seventh.
The two Williams are eighth and ninth, w🐭ith Alpine's Pierre Gasly rounding out the top 10.

Absolute disaster for Ferrari as Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are both elimiꩵnated in Q2 as the♛ two Aston Martins reach Q3 on medium tyres!
Leclerc is only P11 with Hamilto๊n 12th. What a nightmare on home soil for the Italian squad.
Also out is home hero Kimi Antonelli in 13th, with Gabriel Bortoleto 14th and Franco Colapinto - who didn't take part in Q2 after his huge Q1 shunt - P1ꦰ5.
It's a McLaren 1-2 💎headed by Oscar Piastri after the opening runs ofไ Q2.
Max Verstappen is third, ahead of Geor෴ge Russell and the Ferrari pair of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
Isack Hadjar sits seventh, with Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz and Kimi An꧙tonelli the drivers currently occupying the top 10.

Q2 - the second part of qualifying - has begun after heavy delays. Will this be a clean session after a hea♐vily disrupted and twice red-flagged Q1?
It appears as𝔍 though the FIA have stuck with their original decision, with Gabriel Bortoleto taking part in this season and Oliver Bearman still𒅌 in his garage.
15 minutes on the clock for this session.
The start of Q2 has been delayed and the reason is because the lap time of Oliv♔er Bearman is under review. 🐠;
Bearman had set a lap to progress into Q2 but his time was deleted, seeing him drop into 19th and the e🔴limination zone.
It🔜 didn't look as though Bearman made it to the line before the red flag came out, and this is what the FIA are currently evaluating.
Be🌺arman is still in his Haas and waiting to find out 🤪whether he is put through, or if his qualifying is over.
TV cameras just captured Jack Doohan - who lost his Alpine sea🗹t to Franco Colapinto - walking through the paddock smiling shortly after Colapinto's accident.

Franco Colapinto has crashed right at the end of 🏅Q🧔1!
It's a big impact for the Argentine driver on his Alpine debut. Colapinto is out of his car and okay🐓 after a heavy hit with the barriers, but his car is certainly worse for wear.
He had set a time good enough to advance Q2 but he will not be able to 𝔉take part in the session now.
Colapinto alread🥃y has a suspected one-place grid penalty coming as well after being released into the pit lane too early befo🤪re the first red flag ended.
Max Versꦚtappen goes fastest in his Red Bull, three tenths clear of Oscar Piastri's McLaren and Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin.
The Ferraris are only ninth with Charles Leclerc and 11th for Lewis Hamilto𝔉n.
The two Saubers and two Haas' are currently in the drop zone, along with Yuki Tsunoda who is out after his enormous crash and will start tomorrow's grand prix plum last🐓.
After a delay to allow foꦛr those aforementioned repairs to take place, Q1 is back underway.

That's a big crash for𒁃 Y🐎uki Tsunoda at the Villeneuve chicane. He's out of the car and is ok.
That was 🦩a hug❀e impact! Tsunoda's car actually rolled after a hit with the barriers which has completely destroyed the rear-end of the RB21.
The r𒀰ed flag is out and the clock is stꦺopped with 12 minutes 13 seconds left.
