Why do Red Bull need to pay the FIA over £5 million for F1 2023?

The Red Bull F1 team have paid over £5 million in entry fees to the FIA as a result of their record-breaking 2022 campaign.

In accordance with F1’s regulations, each const♒ructor must pay an entry fee to the F𒁏IA every season, in conjunction with an amount per point scored.

Effectively, each team 🌠must pay the basic entry feeඣ of $617,687 plus $7,411 for each point scored across the 2022 F1 season.

With Red Bull scoring 759 points, they will✅ pay the FIA $6,242,636 (just over £5 million).

The goo▨d news is that this fee🔯 is exempt from the cost cap.

Ahead of the FIA’s Prize Giving Gala on Friday, team boss Christian Horner joked: “I didn’t realise how much we had to pay the FIA for the poi💃nts—I got the bill the other day 🦩and it was incredible.”
