Brendon Hartley out of Spain F1 qualifying after FP3 crash
Toro Rosso has confirmed that Brendon Hartley will take no part in Formula 1 qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix after his car ꦯsustained severe damage in a crash at the end of FP3 on Saturday afternoon.
Hartley crashed out at Turn 9 after clipping the grass ꦓon entry, hitting the wall at speed rear-first. Further damage was caused when a number of parts fell from the back of the car as it was being craned away by the marshals at the corner.

Toro Rosso confirmed in the lead-up to qualifying that Hartley would be unable to take part in qualifying due to the damage caused to his car, requiring several hours of 🍎repairs that could not be completed in the two-hour window following FP3.
Hartley will start the Spanish Grand Prix last on Sunday as a result, requiring permis꧑sion from the stewards to start the race as he technically will fail to qualify. This will be granted as a result of the New Zealander setting a representative time in practice.
