Billy Monger gets surprise F1 test at Rockingham
Billy Monge꧟r has been handed a surprise🧸 test in a Formula 1 car at Rockingham.
Monger has returned to racing in 2018 in the British Formula 3 🎃championship following his horrific crash at Donington 📖Park last year in which he had both lower legs amputated.
Monger, who races a modified hand-operated Carlin car, was given a shock test arranged by historic F1 car supplier Heritage F1 while Sky Sports 𒆙F1 were also present.

The 19-year-old drove a 2011-specification F1 car on the Rockingham circuit where he raced earlier in the year in British F3. The controls were adapted to allow Monger to operate it with the British teenager expected to enjoy hi💯s first run this afternoon after a seat fittingꦛ.
Monger secured a stunning podium result in his first race since suffering his injuries, with third place in the 2018 British F3 opener, and currently sits eighth in the drivers🦩’ championship after the opening four rounds.
