Heading into this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, Ricciardo said he did not expect the issue to harm his chances in Budapest, but acknowledged he may be on the back foot later in the year as further pen💃alties loom for exceeding the permitted number of components for the season.

"It shouldn’t [affect Hungary]. We still have 🐟another engine which is fine at the moment," Ricciardo said.

"So we’ll run that ꧅engine this weekend but on mileage and stuff, it should be fine. Unless something unplanned happens to that, 💝we should be OK.

"I think 𒈔that’s really the main thing. All going normal, it won’t hurt me this weekend, but it means a b꧅it more pain at some point after the break.

"It’s frustrating for sure. I do get it, but I d𓂃on’t get it. The joys of F1."

Ricciardo has already exceeded the maximum number of part🌳s on all of his power unit components f🎃or 2018, meaning any fresh parts will result in a grid penalty.
