Who is driving at the F1 Hungary test?
Formula 1’s summer break might on the ho🦩rizon, or for some already here🎀, but the track action doesn't slow down just yet as the second in-season test takes place at the Hungaroring this week.
While Haas confirmed it would skip the traditional two-day post-Hungarian Grand Prix test, ci🌳ting its previous tyre tests as sufficient mileage and data, all of the other nine F1 teams will be in action as well as Pirelli-specific tyre testing.

While Haas confirmed it would skip the traditional two-dꦐay post-Hungarian Grand Prix test, citing its previous tyre tests as sufficient mileage and d𒁃ata, all of the other nine F1 teams will be in action as well as Pirelli-specific tyre testing.
The test takes place at the Hungarian track on Tuesday 31st July and Wednesday 1st August wi🐓th track action running from 9AM t🐟o 6PM each day.
Having run both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas at the previous in-season test in Spain, Mercedes will use reserve driver and Formula 2 championship leader George Russell for both days, while at McLaren fellow F2 title contender Lando Norris is covering the full test and the same is planned for Sean Ge🍸lael at Toro Rosso.
Toro Rosso is also penned in to run the Pirelli 2019 tyre tests in Hungary, with💙 its driver line-up set to be confirmed🏅 at a later date.
Ferrari’s development driver Antonio Giovinazzi will also be involved in both days of the test running for the I😼talian works team on Tuesday before switching over to Alfa Romeo Sauber on Wednesday. Kimi Raikkonen is on testing duty on Wednesday at Ferrari with Marcus Ericsson in at Sauber on Tuesday.
After Red Bull had its plan to run Daniel Ticktum bloc꧂ked because of his lack of FIA Super Licence points, Da💯niel Ricciardo is on call for the opening day before handing over to the team’s simulator development driver Jake Dennis.
Both Force India and Williams have a full line-up of development drivers, with Nicholas Latifi and Nikita Mazepin in at the Silverstone squad and Oliver Rowland and Robert Kubica in action for the Grove-based team. The test marks 12 months on from Kubica’s official F1 tesꦕt return🤡 when he ran for Renault in 2017.
At Renault, Nico Hulkenberg is set fo🐓r Tuesday’s driving duties before Artem Markelov’s F1 test debut.
