Williams confirms chassis change for George Russell after FP1 incident
Williams has confirmed it has been forced to change t꧙he chassis on G𓆏eorge Russell's FW42 car following his collision with a loose drain cover in opening practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Friday.
Russell struck the loose drain cover less than 15 minutes into FP1 at the Baku City Circuit, causing damage to the underside of hiᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚs Williams FW42 car and leaving debris strewn across the track. The session was red f▨lagged before being abandoned altogether.

Williams said it would review Russell's car once it had returned to the garage, but shortly confirmed after receiving it that a chassis chan𓂃ge was required.
"George's car will require a chassis change due to the damage caused by the loose drain cover," a Williams spoဣ꧅keswoman said.
"Therefore due 🀅to the 📖regulations, he will not be able to run until FP3 tomorrow."
Russell's car must be re-scrutineered by the ra꧂ce stewards in Baku due to the change in survival cell, whi♊ch will take place ahead of FP3 on Saturday.
