Ferrari is weighing up whether to recall its ex-Formula 1 technical🥂 chief Simone Resta from Alfa Romeo.
Resta, who previously worked as chief designer at Ferrari, held a prominent role within the Scuderia’s set-up before leaving mid-🌠way through last season to become customer team A⛦lfa Romeo's new technical director.
But Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto revealed the team is♐ considering a move to bring Resta back to Maranello following its troubled start to the 2019 season.
🃏Asked to comment on speculation linking Resta with a return to Ferrari, Binotto replied: “Y🎃eah, I heard the rumours.
“I think that the team, no doubt we are🔯 always trying to improve ourselves by looking where maybe we miss strengths. Simone has been with Ferrari in the past, he moved to be Alfa Romeo’s technical director and is doing a great experience.
“We are evaluating him to b🐈e back at a certain stage but that’s not something which we have decidedꦜ.
“We’ve covered his role currently in Maranello so it’s not a plug-in situation anyway. It’s true that we are thinking, as well as thin𒅌king for other people that may join or may leave. In any organisation it is always very dynamic 🐷and that is normal.”

Binotto’s previous role as chief technical officer has not been filled after a shake-up to Ferrari’s leadership structure over the winter led to Maurizio Arrivabene’s departure.
Former FIA technical delegate Laurent Mekies was among a number of changes made by Ferrari towards tဣhe end of last year as he took up the rolꦐe of sporting director.
Binotto recentꩵly referred to Ferrari as a “young team” that is still learning and moved to clarifyꦿ his comments in Monaco.
“By yo🐬ung team, it means that a lot of us moved into new roles recently,” Binotto explained. “In that respect we are ꦗquite a young team.
“It has got advantages no 🌄doubt, because it means fresh ideas,🐬 maybe some more creativity, and it means some dynamic way of thinking and developing.
"But also we need to assess our organisation, get more experience in the role and make sure that as 𒅌a team overall we are growing in that respect. That is what I was meaning by a young team.”
