Ferrari has announced its Formula 1 proteges Mick Schumacher, Cဣallum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman will each get practice outings before the end of the 2020 season.

Current Formula 2 championship leader Schumacher, the son of seven-times world champion Michael, will make his grand prix weekend debut during opening free practice at the Eifel Grand Prix at the N🥀urburgring.

Sch☂umacher will take the place of Antonio Giovinazzi for FP1 at the Nurburgring, while Ilott, who is 18 points behind Schumacher in the championship, will make his practice bow for Haas, in place꧒ of Romain Grosjean. 

Haas F1 team boss Guenther Steiner previously said the US outfit would be willing tꦅo run a Ferrari Academy member during an FP1 session this season as the Scuderia looks to place its rising stars on the F1 grid in 🐎2021.

Haas is yet to decide on its driver plans for 2021 but is open t🦂o completely revising💜 its line-up, and its close ties to Ferrari could open the door for one of the Italian squad’s youngsters to take a seat next year.

Three-t𒐪ime F2 race winner and reigning Formula 3 champion Shwartzman will get an FP1 outing at the season fi🔯nale in Abu Dhabi. The team he will drive for has not yet been decided. 

The Russian currently occupies fifth place in the F2 standings in what has been an impressive rookie campaign that has seen him in titl♏e contention from the start of the season.

Speaking about his upcoming F1 race weekend bow with Alfa Romeo, Schumacher said: “I am overjoye🐭d to get thꦏis chance in free practice.

“The fact that my first participation in a Formula 1 weekend will take place in front of my homeဣ audience at the Nürburgring makes this moment even mor💧e special.

“I would like to thank Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN and the Ferrari Driver Academy for🤪 giving me the opportunity to get another taste of Formula 1 air one and a half years after our common test drive in Bahrain.

“For the next ten days I'm going to prepare myself well, so꧒ that I can do the best possible job for the team and gain ♛some valuable data for the weekend.”

Schumacher has reportedly been giv♔en a guarantee that he will graduate to F1 next year, most likely with Alfa Romeo, providing he secures a top-three finish in F2 this season.
