Daniel Ricciardo says F1’s decision to show continuous replays of Romain Grosjean’s opening lap sℱhunt in Bahrain is “pretty disgusting”.

Grosjean crashed heavily on the opening lap in🌳 Bahrain following a tangle with the AlphaTauri of Daniil Kvyat.

Grosjean speared into the Armco barrier at Turn 3 with his car going up in fl💦ames immediately and also splitting in two in aღ horrific incident.

T𝔉he race was then halted for over an hour as the barrier was repaired so the race could be restarted.

During the interval, the crash was shown multiple times by F1 on the world feed which is broadcast ar♑ound the world but also at the circuit meaning drivers were watching the incident.

Speaking to Ziggo TV, ༺Ricciardo was very critical of F1 for repeatedly showing the crash♒ on TV.

“The way the incident of Grosjean was broadcast, over and over, the replays over and over, it was completely disrespectful and inconsiderate for his family, fo𒁏r all of our families watching,” Ricciardo said.

“We🐽’re going to go race aga🥃in in an hour and every time we look at the TV it’s a ball of fire and his car cut in half.

“We can see that tomorrow, we don’t need to see it toda🐲y. For me, it was entertainment ൲and they’re playing with all of our emotions.

“I thouꦉght it was pretty disgusting. Hopefully, some other drivers have spoken up, but if that’s not how we all really feel, I’ll be very surprised.”

Ri𓆉cciardo ultimately finished the race in seventh, meaning he moves up to fourth place in the drivers' championship following Sergio Perez's late retirement.
