Aston Martin strengthens F1 technical department ahead of 2022

Furbatto’s arrival as engineering director will see Aston Martin reshuffle its technical departmen🎉t, ဣwith Andrew Green taking up the role of chief technical officer - the same role held by James Allison at Mercedes.
Furbatto has been Alfa Romeo’s chief designer sinꦺce 2017 ⛎but will move to the Silverstone-based outfit ahead of next season.
Aston Martin confirmed that Furbatto will be the first of several signings as team principal Otmar Szafnauer has already outlined his ambitions to expand the team’s workforce ahead of 20༺22.
“As we continue to add weight to our t🦹echnical team, we are hugely excited that Luca has chosen to join Aston Martin,” Szafnauer said of 🦹the announcement.
“🤡Working with our eꦚxisting Engineering Group, he will bring a valuable perspective and knowledge to help shape our approach in the short and medium-term.
“This appointment coi𝔍ncides with Andrew stepping up to a new role where he will take a global perspective on the company’s mid to long-term technical strategy.”

Aston Martin currently sits sixth in the 202ꦚ1 F1 constructors’ championship having scored its first podium of the season last time out in Azerbaijan.
