Ricciardo to miss final day in Bahrain after positive COVID-19 test

Ricciardo was du𒆙e to drive on the opening day of testing in Sakhir but was ruled out after McLaren revealed that he was feeling unwell.
The Australian was unable to drive again on Fri༒day meaning Lando Norris was in action onꦐ the opening two days.
McLaren confirmed on Friday that Ricciardo's condition was improving, and his COVID-19 tests were coming ba🌱ck nega𝔍tive.
H💛owever, on Friday night, the team released a statement stating that Ricciardo ha▨s tested positive and will not be able to drive for the team on Saturday.
The 🍰good news for Ricciardo is that under Bahrain's quarantine rules, should he recover🍒, he will be able to compete in the season-opening grand prix at Sakhir.
“McLaren Racing can confirm that after feeling unwell from Wednesday onwards in Bahrain, Daniel Ricciardo has now returned a positive PCR test for COVID-19,”🥀 the statement read.
“Daniel is therefore continuing to isolate in accordance with local regulations. 💃Under these regulations Daniel will be released in time for next weekend’s Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
“Daniel is already beginning to feel better, and we wi🧸sh him well for a quick recovery.
“Following this, we can confirm that Lando Norris will remain in the MC๊L36 for the final day of the official pre-season test in Bahrain tomorrow.”
