Felipe Drugovich pulls off strategic masterclass to win F2 feature race in Spain

Starting from 10th on the grid, Drugovich decided to🏅 go long on his soft tyres which ultimately proved crucial when⛎ the pit stops occurred.
The Brazilian stopped for hards on Lap 🐭18, six laps later than Jack Doohan who dominated the earl𝓰y part of the race.
Drugovich🌳's impressive race pace and tyre managemen🐠t allowed him to rejoin in third, quickly overtaking Frederik Vesti and then Doohan for the race lead on Lap 27.
With 10 laps remaining, Drugovich built up a fꩲive-second gap to ensure he retains his win if he is penalise✨d after race control announced during the race that he's under investigation for a pit lane offence.
His latest victory means ꧂he is in a select group to win both the sprint and feature races in an F2 or GP2 race weekeꦯnd, cementing his lead at the top of the championship.
Doo𝔍han ultimately secured secon🐷d behind Drugovich, his first podium in the series.
Mercedes F1 junior Vesti completed the podium in꧟ fourth.
Logan Sargeant hung onto fourth ahead 🔯of Clement Novalak, who was lightning quick at the end of the race on the softs.
Novalak, Enzo Fittipaldi and Marcus Armstrong all made the most of the alternate strategy, switching onto softs at the end of the race to cut their way through the field to secure fifth, sixth and seventh respectiv༺ely.
Theo Pourchaire, Liam Lawson and Roy Nissany rouܫnded out the top 10 in Barcelona.
Drugovich now has a 26-point lead over Pourchaire in the points standings, with Daruvala a further 19 points back from the ART dꦿriver.
Lജiam Lawson is on 37 points, 50 off Drugovich with Armstrong completing the top five on 36 points.
