Daniel Abt has been stripped of his maiden Formula E victory in Hong Kong over an infringement on his Audi powertrain 💧following a review by the steward𓆏s after the race.

Abt snatched his first win in Formula E after a late spin for Edoardo Mortara, only for both his cars to be revi🌠ewed by the stewards after 🅘the race and be deemed outside of the technical regulations.

"The FIA security stickers (barcodes) on the inverter and MGU units did not correspond with those declared on the Te꧒chnical Passport provided by the competitor Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler for the event," reads a statement from the FIA stewards.

As a result, Abt was disqualified from the race, making Felix Rosenqvist t💮he new race winner fไor Mahindra.

Morta𒉰ra moves ꦍup to second, while Jaguar claims its first Formula E podium through Mitch Evans in third place.

Audi conf෴irmed in the hours following the race it intends to appeal th🐽e decision.

"It has been a bittersweet end to the day because afterwards in the technical inspection, FIA💖, the organising and ruling body, they found there was a discrepancy in the numbers ꦓon a couple of parts of the car," Audi Formula E chief Allan McNish said.

"So now we have taken the view and tak🅺en the intent to appeal the process. That is the situation as we ജspeak and finish up here in Hong Kong."

Audi will decide in the next two-to-three days ꦬwhether or not it will go through with its intention to appeal.
