Mercedes F1 team to support Formula E project 

The Mercedes Formula 1 team will provide support to its Formula E entry, having revealed the first details of its plans to enter the al💖l-electric series in 2019. 

The German manufacturer is set to contest Formula E from the start of the 2019-2020 campaign, having announced it will quit the DTM at the end of this year in order to focus on its aꦏssaul💮t on the electric single-seater championship.

The Mercedes Formula 1 team will provide support to its Formula E entry, having revealed the first details ꧃of its plans to enter the all-electric series in 2019. 

The German manufacturer is s🌞et to contest Formula E from the start of the 2019-2020 campaign, having announced it will quit the DTM at the end of this year in order to focus on its assault on the electric single-seater championship. 

Mercedes will develop its Formula E powertrain at its high-p💞erformance Brixworth technology centre in the UK, which has been at the heart of providing Mercedes with F1 power units that have dominated the V6 hybrid era. 

"The combined know-how of the Mercedes family at Affalterbach [HWA],🌞 Brixworth and Brackley provides the perfect foundations for our new Mercedes EQ Formula E team," Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff said. “I cannot imagine a better combination to take on this kind 🔯of project.” 

Wolff ackno🤪wledged the challengeও Mercedes will face when it enters Formula E given the fierce level of competition and believes it has taken the right approach to the series. 

“Formula E is a unique series with some very specific challenges for its te🐓ams. We know the level of competition is extremely high and we will approach the challenge with energy and humility.

"There can be no o🌊ther approach when we are up against 10 competitive manufacturers, many of whom have year💮s of experience in the series.”

It was also confirmed that the German manufacturer will race under the ‘Mercedes EQ For🌄mula E Team’ banಌner for its first season.
