Sam Bird has been stripped of his victory in Sunday's Hong Kong F🥀ormula E race after being handed a five-second time penalty, making Venturi🍰's Edoardo Mortara the new winner.

Bird provisionally took his second win of the season in Hong Kong follo🅷wing contact with Andre☂ Lotterer on the penultimate lap of the race, hitting the DS Techeetah driver at Turn 2 in a move that left Lotterer's car with damage and a tyre puncture.

Sam Bird has been stripped of his victory in Sunday's Hong Kong Formula E race after being handed a five-ꦅsecond time penalty, making Venturi's Edoardo Mortara the new winner.

Bird provisionally took his second win of 💟the season in Hong Kong following contact with Andre Lotterer on the penultimate lap of the race, hitting the DS Techeetah driver at Turn 2 in a move that left Lotterer's car with damage and a tyre puncture.

The stewards quickly announced that Bird was under investigation for the move, with confirmation arrivi🍷ng more than three hours after the chequered flag that a five-second time penalty had been handed down as the Briton was deemed predominantly to blame for the collision.

As🍨 a result, Bird drops to sixth in the final classification, with Venturi driver Mortara moving up from second to claim his maiden Formula E victory.

Audi⛎'s Lucas di Grassi is confirm🎐ed in second ahead of Bird's Envision Virgin teammate, Robin Frijns, who completes the podium in third.

Daniel Abt and Felipe Ma𓆏ssa also gained a position as a result of Bird's penalty, moving up to fourth and fifth respectively.
