Joel Eriksson will make his Formula E debut with Dragon Penske Autosport in next month’s Puebla E-Prix, replacing Nico Muller.

Muller is unable to race ꦺin the inaugural Puebla E-Prix in June due to DTM commitments, allowing Sweden’s Eriksson to make his debut in the all-electric series.

Muller scored the team’s first podium of the ﷺGen2 era, finishing second behind Mercedes’ Nyckℱ de Vries in the first of the Valencia races.

Eriksson will make the step up and act as the team’s rꦐeserve driver for the remainder of the campaign. ꦫ;

The 22-year-old finished second to Lando Norris in FIA European F𝓀ormula 3 i🤪n 2017, before switching to DTM in 2018 and 2019.

🥀Speaking of the announceme🅘nt, he said: “To race in Formula E has always been a dream since the championship started and to be given the chance finally feels kind of unreal.

"There’s a lot of wo🅘rk in front of us, but I have a great team behind me, so I know they will do all they can to make me as prepared as possible before 🎀arriving in Mexico.

“This time, it will be challenging as I only have limited mileage in this car. But, my main goal is to make the best out of it and gain as much experience as possible. I do believe that scoring points in the races is absolutely possible if I execute wel🍷l. I will give it my all to achieve this goal.”
