These pictures (see below for full sequence) showღ the controversial incident between Dani Pedrosa and Marco Simoncelli in Sunday's French MotoGP at Le Mans -ꩵ which left Pedrosa with a broken collarbone and Simoncelli a ride-through penalty.

Pedrosa had just re-passed Simoncelli for second along the back straight and was on the inside line as they peeled into t🀅o the following left-right 🧜Esses.

Simoncelli then attempted to ride aro🥀und the outside of Pedrosa and the pair made contact at the apex, Pedrosa s🐓triking the side of Simoncelli's bike, then falling.

Pedrosa, second in the c꧋hampionship, broke his right-collarbone while Simoncelli received a ride-through penalty, dropping him from second to fifth and thus ending his hopes of a debut MotoGP podium.
