Maverick Vinales continued his good form on day-one of the Dutc𒀰h MotoGP after finishing a mixed condition FP2 session quickestꦏ from Miguel Oliveira.

The Monster Energy Yamaha rider was quickest during the op🐼ening 20 minutes, wh🌼ich ultimately turned out to be the only dry running of the afternoon session.

Shortly before the heavy rain arrived - which led to a 15 minute period void of M🐭otoGP machines on track, German GP winner Marc Marquez suffered a huge highside at turn 10 after the rear of his Repsol Honda caught too much traction and launched him over the handlebars.

Marquez was able to slowly walk away from the crash, while team-mate and second fasไtest overall on day-one, Pol Espargaro came undone at turn 5 just moments later.

Many of the riders chose to head back out during the final moments and get a feel f🐼or the wet track, however, Marquez was not one of them as he remained in pit lane along with factory Ducati riderꦏs Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia.

Third fastest in the session - fourth for the day wa🔯s Fabio Quartararo, while Marquez’ early lap time was good enough for fourth (FP🌼2) - fifth overall.

Joan Mir had a bett𓄧er afternoon session as he finished fifth quickest. Johann Zarco managed to split the two Ecstar Suzuki bikes with sixth place - Alex Rins seventh.&nbs🏅p;

Rounding out the FP2 top ten was Miller in eighth, Aleix Espargaro ninth and brother Pol i🍷n tenth𒁏.

Garrett Gerloff finished 21st but was one of the quickest riders in the wet, which could be good news for the American with Sꦜunday’s forecast suggesting similar conditions w෴ill be in play for the race.
