Preparations for the new Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia, set to holไd ℱWorldSBK (as early as this year) and MotoGP races are close to completion. 

To date, the overall progress of the Mandalika Circuit construction work has reached ꦐ80 percent, with the second layer of asphalt (AC-Bind𒁃er) to be completed this week.

The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) - promoter of the event has provided the latest update on circui🉐t construction, via their Instagram: "The overall progress of construction work at the Mandalika Circuit has reached 80🀅.02% with the service road asphalting progress which has been paved for about 7,860 meters out of a total of 8,120 meters.” 

"In addition to this work, since July 3, 2021, the second layer of asphalt work (AC-Binder) has begun for the first segment and con💜tinued for the following segments. This second layer of work will be completed in mid-July 2021.

"Then, the last layer of work (Stone Mastic Asphalt / SMA) on the tracklane will be completed before Homologation which will b🥃e carried out at the end of July to early August 2021."

In addition to the asphalting process, MGPA has started 🐼to build its race control room, which has currently reached 65% and is targeted to be completed by the end of July.ౠ 

"Construction of Race Control ꦐat the Mandalika Circuit is also ge𓆉tting faster and so far it has reached 65% and will be completed by the end of July," continued MGPA in its latest Instagram post.

"The design of this two-story building is inspired by the roof design of Bale Lumbung, a type of traditional house in Sasak Sade Village in Central Lombok which is a symbol of prosperity for the Sasak people and also 🌄as a symbol of the identity of Central Lombok."

Once homo🌱logated, the Mandalika Circuit will be 4.3 km in length with 17 corners, as it prepares to debut in the 2021 World Superbike championship as the final round on November 13 and 14.

Meanwhile𒉰, the Indonesian MotoGP at Mandalika has been postponed until early next year, possibly af🐓ter the Qatar GP at the Losail International Circuit in March or April 2022.
