Fabio Quartararo has extended hꦯis championship lead to 67 points after dominating the Brit𒅌ish MotoGP. 

After losing a place at the start, three quick overtakes by Quartararo on Aleix and Pol Espargaro anဣd Francesco Bagnaia then saw the Yamaha rider take the lead. 

Quartararo then gapped the group behind inꦇ what he called a ‘nice’ race, even though the start was ‘stressful’ bec💝ause of difficulties with the holeshot device. 

Quartararo added: "It was nice. D🎐uring the race I was feeling really comfortable. The most stressful part was the starts because you never know if a rider is going to hit you or if you are going wide. 

"Also here with the holeshot device was difficult. But yeah, as soon as I made the second lap I was behind the Espargaro brothers and Bagnaia and I overtook them s💯tep-by-step whic♕h was nice. 

"I really enjoyed these 💖overtakes. Then my p🅰ace was really strong but I never expected to pull away a second in one and a half laps." 

While the Frenchman continued to build his advantage as the race went on, title rivals Mir and Bagnaia slowly dropped down 🌠the order anꦜd could only manage ninth and 14th respectively. 

It means a 47 point gap heading into the r༒ace has now increased to 67 with only six rounds to go, however, it’s not a gap that Quartararo s🌱ays will affect his approach going forward.

"I will not change my a▨pproach. I’m enjoying so much to fight for the victories. Then the championship is something that comes when you make the results," said Quartararo. 

"At the moment my approach is still the same and of course if one race I feel like it’s not possible I🍎 will not make any stupid m𝓰istakes. 

"So my approach is still the ꦕsame but of course you have more margin to play with. If we have the opportunity to fight for the victory or the podium then I will do it."
