Fol🌳lowing intense early race battles with Joan Mir and team-mate Francesco Bagnaia,ไ Jack Miller came through to finish fourth at the British MotoGP. 

It’s the Australian’s best ever result at Silver⛦stone - previous best was sixth in Moto3 (2014).

While many riders🌄 suffered with tyre drop off including Bagnaia who finishe꧒d 14th after starting second, Miller was one of the few riders to get faster and faster as the race went on. 

So much so that he closed in on the podium battle invoꦓlving Alex Rins, Aleix and Poꦫl Espargaro by half a second over several laps, once getting the better of Mir. 

This was Miller’s strategy all along as he aimed to leave something in reserve come the final few laps, however, 💟keeping the same pace became difficult once behind Aleix Espargaro even after attempting a last lap move for thi❀rd. 

Speaking about his strategy and the race as a whole, Miller added: "I was gliding in the beginning. It was more of a strategy, but I🥂 didn’t want to really push. 

"Honestly, I was quite shocked because ꦚI was on the group sort of at the back and I could see the whole group basically in first position. 

"Then I got in a little tussle with Mir. Once that sort of settled down, I was behind him. I looked and I saw that Fabio [Quartararo] got to the front and he was miles in front of us. I was like, when did that happen? He wasꦕ just gone. 

"I was like, okay, looks like we’re racing for second here. It was one of those races I guess you could say. I enjoyed it and 🌸I felt like my strategy wasn’t bad. 

"For sure, I think a better starting position would have definitely helped because to not have to make those overtakes or get stuck in a battl𒉰e and just focus on my own race more than anything would have been nice. 

"Definitely happy to come out (with a result), because the first lap was pretty he🔴ctic. So, to come out unscathed and in a decent position was pretty nice."
