Hector Garzo returns to the MotoE World Cup and Tech3 in 2022

After spending the last two seasons racing for Pons in Moto2, Hector Garzo will return to MotoE and Tech3 in 202ꦚ🐼2.
Following some stand-in Moto2 rides at Tech3 in 2017 and 2018, Garzo was picked to represent the team - alongside Kenny Foray - in t🌸he inaugural 2019 season of the electric bike class.
Garzo iಌmpressed with three podiums from the six rounds and fourth overall in the standings, prompting the chance of a Moto2 ride with the Pons Fl💟exbox HP40 team for 2020 and 2021.
The first season brought a podium and two fastest laps on the way to 16th overall, but Garzo couldn't manage higher than eighth during 2021, when he failed to finish over half of the races, leaving the Sp𝔍aniard a lowly 23rd over🅺all.
With Pons picking Aron Canet 💧and Jorge Navarro for 2022, Garzo was left without a ride and the 23-year-old will now return to the Tech3 'family'.
"I’m feeli𒁏ng very excited for next year because I am back with🌟 the Tech3 family which is the most important thing for me. I have already done a season in MotoE, the first year that the championship was built.
"In 2019, I came really close to winning the title, so this year, I want to fight for the championship agဣain. It is going to be a really good year, so let’s go for the championship!”
Tech3 boss Herve Pon🅺charal added: “I am very happy to announce that Hector Garzo will be back with Tech3 E-Racing in 2022. We had a great 2019 season together and I am very excited to see him back in the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. I am confident that we will be competitive, and I dare to dream that we will have𝔍 the possibility to fight for the title.”
“Duringꦕ the last two seasons, Hector showed great speed and potential in the Moto2 World Championship. He made a lot of progress and raised his game. Having a young rider of such a high-level joining the MotoE Championship proves that Mo🍌toE is becoming more and more competitive every year, and attracts talented and fast riders.”
Tech3 is yet to announce its second MotoE rider, Lukas Tulovic and Corentin Perolari riding for the team this s๊eason.

Peter has been in the paddock for 20 years and has seen Valentino Rossi come an🐼d go. He is at the forefront of the Suzuki exit story and Marc Marquez’s injury issues.
