FP1 leader Marc Marquez was soon back on top at the start of the evening session - but had been🎉 relegated to third, behind Alex Marquez and Bagnaia, by the midway stage of the hour.
Title leader Alex had been among the first to fit a new soft rear tyre. Others soon followed and the Marquez b✃rothers were briefly as low as sixth and 🅷seventh.
Ma🌱rc Marquez then jumped to second behind Bagn𒁏aia as the final ten minutes began.
However, Morbidelli saved his bes🌳t for last a🌟nd – with boss Valentino Rossi watching from the pits – put the VR46 machine fastest of all by 0.145s.
Team-mate Fabio di Giannantonio was just be💎hind the red Lenovo machines i🎶n fourth, with Alex Marquez completing the top five.
Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo was the top non-Ducati in sixth, ꧑ahead of the KTMs of Pedro Acosta and Maverick Vinales.
Rookie Fermin Aldeguer and LCR Honda’s Johann Zarco completed t⛦hꩲe top ten for direct Qualifying 2 access.
Jack Miller and then Brad Binder crashed in ꩲthe final minutes, leaving them to join the likes of Joan Mir, Marco Bezzecchi and Alex Rins in Saturday’s Qualifying 1.
Reign🐭ing MotoGP champion Jorge Martin was 20th fastest during his f♔irst day on track since pre-season testing at Sepang.
The Aprilia rider cut the gap to the top to +1.5s and 𒅌wa🍬s only a few tenths behind team-mate Bezzecchi.
