Marc Marquez fastest by just 0.090s from Valentino Rossi in morning warm-up for the Aust𝄹ralian MotoGP at Phillip Island.

After ♔on-off rain throughout practice, MotoGP riders finally got their first fully dry session of the weekend. Warm-up was extended from 20 to 30 minutes to help compensate for the lack of dry running✅.

Marquez switched from the soft to hard front tyre, returning to set his best lap after being tie⛎d at the top with Maverick Vinales. Most other riders (with the except📖ion of Cal Crutchlow) remained on the soft front.

Nicky Hꦓayden is making his second MotoGP appearance of the season - this time returning to the Repsol Honda team with which he won the 2006 world championship, as a replacement for the injured Dani Pedrosa.

Hector Barbera is riding for the factory Ducati team in place of the injured Andrea Iannone for the second week in✅ succession, with 2015 Aus🐎tralian SBK champion Mike Jones in-turn keeping the Avintia seat for his home race...
