British Speedway will unite in grief following the sad news of Exeter promoter Colin Hill's death. Hill, who has just comp๊leted 20 seasons in charge of the Falcons, lost his battle with cancer at 3am on Saturday.

Falcons official Tony Lethbridge said: "This ♛is a very sad day for everyone who knows Colin, he was a very close friend of mine. Even though I was aware of Colin's illness, this still comes as a massive shock💧."

"I am told his passing was very peaceful in the Exeter Hospice. Colin kept speedway aliv🐓e in Exeter for the last 20-years and he deserves a tremendous amount of credit for that. I think it's fair to say he was alwayไs regarded as one of the sport's nice guys."
