Following the recent signing of Frank Smart, Newport have moved to retain Craig Watson for 2003 when the popu🌄lar Australian duo will agജain spearhead the Wasp's campaign.

Watson has spent most of his British speedway career with the South Wales club apart from an ill𒀰-fated dally with Poole in the Elite League a couple of seasons ago which was blighted 𒆙by injury and poor form.

But a return to Newport last season proved a welcome tonic and saw Watson return to impressive form. He topped the Newport avera🌠ges and represented his employers with credit in the Premier League Riders' Championship at Belle Vue.

Watso൲n apparently stillღ holds ambitions of another crack at Elite League racing and another successful season with the Wasps could set him on the way to that perhaps in 2004.
