Laguna Seca has undergone circuit improvements ahead of the 2018 season including fan ame✱nity updates and a new bridge over the start/finish straight.

The American circuit, which hosts the eighth round of the 2018 World Superbike championship in Jun꧂e, has seen work undertaken on a number of areas around the track to improve facilities.

Headlining the updates is a new pedestrian bridge over the start/finish straight between turn one and turn two plus new permanent paddock buildings and marshal stations. Fans wiꦕll also enjoy new facilities including improved car parks, toilet facilities and food outlets.

The US circuꦰit is eager to build upon the boosted home interest in World Superbikes with both Jake Gag꧃ne (Red Bull Honda) and PJ Jacobsen (TripleM Honda) preparing for their full rookie seasons in the series.

“With the Monterey County’s oversight and encouragement, there has never been such intense progress and planning in infrastructure for this facility than what is occurring now,” Michael Smith, interim CEO of SCRAMP, said. “While much of it has been made to ‘unseen’ areas, track renters, series organisers and visitors will immediate🐽ly begin seeing noticeable improvements in their overall experience.

The World Superbike championship heads to Laguna Seca for round eight of the 2018 season on the 22-24^th June.

Last year Aruba.it Racing Ducati’s Chaz Davies stormed to victory in race one at the US circuit less than a month after his nasty injury when he was hit by Jonathan Rea at Misano,𒊎 while Rea clinched his second career win at the track in race two.
