After two full seasons in Moto3, Maximilian Kofler will move to the World Superbike paddo🎐ck after agreeing a one-year deal with CM Racing in WorldSSP.

The Austrian ri♎der endured a difficult 2021 season aboard KTM machinery as he could only ma🎶nage ten points throughout the year.

It’s a total that left the former CIP Green Power rider 🏅just 26th in the championship, while the 21 year-old also missed races in Catalunya, Sachsenring an🌳d Assen due to injury.

But looking at next season, Kofler will join 2019 Worl🧔dSSP champion Randy Krummenacher at CM Racing as the team expands from a one rider lin💛e-up to two.

CM Racing is alsoꩲ making a move away from Yamaha machin🍒ery to instead compete with the new Ducati Panigale V2.

"First of all I want to thank the CM Racing Team for the trust they have pl꧙aced in me, and for the opportunity to 🐈compete in WorldSSP in 2022 on a Ducati," said Kofler.

"R🌠acing with this manufacturer is the dream of every rider, so I'm really happy. This change of paddock will give me a lot of strength and mo✤tivation to start the season in the best way.

"Having a rider like Krummenacher in the box will certainly help me to learn quicklyꦆꦦ: I can't wait for the day of the first test, to start working together with the whole team."

The team’s decision to go with Kofler came down to wanting a yo༒ung rider alongside the experienced Krummenacher.

Speaking about his new rider, Team Director, Manuel Cappelletti added: "We're very pleased to 🐽be able to announce that we'll be taking part in WorldSSP with two riders: it's something we're proud of because it represents the achievement of a further objective.

"We wanted to add a young ri🥂der to Krummenacher who was eager to learn, and Kofler is certainly the right fit.

"His experience in the Moto3™ World Championship will certainly help him to quickly understand the mechanisms of Su🌟persport, supported of course by the CM Racing Team.

"Between January and February, we'll have♎ our first test, during which Maximilian will get to know his Ducati Panigale V2 955 and his new staff."

Krummenacher will go into his first full season with the team after🅰 joininꦍg CM Racing midway through 2021 - having started the season on an MV Agusta.
