Stroll confused by "terrible" graining issue during Turkish F1 GP

Lance Stroll was left perple𝔉xed by his lack of pace during the second half of t💧he Turkish F1 Grand Prix.
Stroll stormed to a shock maiꦑden pole on Saturday and dominated the opening laps of the race in Turkey.
Tꦅhings started to go wrong for Canadian driver when Racing Point opted to pit him for a second set of intermediates from the lead despite questioning the call over team radio.
Followi✤ng his second pit stop, Stroll dropped to fourth place but then was quickly overtaken by the two Ferraris, Alexander Albon, Carlos Sainz and later Lando Norris.
Stroll ultimately finished the race in ninth place and he was left confused by his pace after his second pit stop after dominated the early p🐻art of the grand prix from pole position.
“It was [a] new [se🃏t of tyres], but just grained again massively, no pace,” Stroll said. “So we have to look into it, [it] was pretty terrible today.
“I mean I don’t understand, we had so much graining on the first set of In▨ters, we decided to pit, [we] were losing seconds per lap. don’t know where the graining came from, it happened instantly.
“It’s frustrating when you’re in the lead by 10 seconds and you finish ninth, I don’t understand how it happened. I mean I do, it’s graining, but we ne𒈔ed to look into why 🔥it hit me so much.”
Racing Point opted to keep teammate Sergio Perez out on the same set of intermediates for the remainder of t⛄he race.
Perez came home in second place to ensure Racing Pointꦗ maintained third in the constructors' championship over McLaren and Renault going into the final three races of 2020.
