Jean-Eric Vergne set the pace for Techeetah through two closely-contested Formula E practice sessions for Saturday’s Berlin E-Prix at Tempelhof Airport, pꦐutting himself in the frame to extend his championship lead through the remainder of the day.

Vergne arrived in Berlin at the head of the drivers’ standings with a 31-point advantage over Sam Bird with four rac🐟es remaining this season, and wasted little time in stretching his legs through practice on Saturd🧸ay morning.

Vergne was able to top t🌱he timesheets in FP2 with a fastest lap time of 1m09.438s to finish just 0.095s clear of Mahindra’s Felix Rosenqvist, with both drivers turning in their best lap times during full power 200kW laps.

Vergne’s Techeetah teammate, Andre Lotterer, finished the session third-fastest ahead of defending champion Lucas di 𒉰Grassi, while Renault’s Sebastien Buemi took fifth place.

Daniel Abt ended practice sixth for Audi ahead of Dragon Racing’s Jerome 🦋d’Ambrosio, with Alex Lynn following in P8 for DS Virgin. Mitch Evans took ninth as Sam Bird rounded out the topꦇ 10 positions.

Practice was interrupted by justꦛ one major incident: a red flag caused by the returning Stephane Sarrazin, who crashed his Andretti car at Turn 1 during opening practice.
