Davies avoids needing surgery on collarbone fracture
Chaz Davies will notꦫ require surgery after refracturing his right co♚llarbone in a training accident at Aragon, his Aruba.it Racing Ducati has confirmed.
The factory Ducati rider suffered a near-identical injury at the start of World Superbike’s lengthy 💞summer break which saw him miss the Italian manufacturer’s ‘Race of Champions’ at Misano.
After recovering over the summer break he took part in the recent in-season test in Portugal but has suffered a fresh setback while training at Aragon sustaining a refrac﷽ture with partiꦡal separation of his right collarbone.

Aruba.it Raci𒈔ng Ducati confirmed Davies will not undergo surgery and stick to rehabilitation and ♍strength training ahead of the Portimao round later this month (September 14-16).
Ducati confirmed the re-signing of Davies alongside Alvaro Bautista for the 2019 World Superbike champ🧸ionship, who will switch from MotoGP over the winter, to take up Marco Melandri’s ride.
Davies is currently second in the World Su🌃perbike riders’ standings but a significant 92 points behind championship leader Jonathan Rea with four rounds – and a maximum of 20⛎0 points – remaining.
. update: further checks confirmed a refracture with partial separati𝄹on in the right collarbone. Given the nature of the injury, Davies will not get surgery and instead he will focus on rehabilitation and strengthening ahead of next race at Portimão. Forza Chaz!
